An introduction to word problems for littles that brings words and numbers to life! Great for home or the classroom, this journal contains 75 days worth of journal experiences that reinforce concrete, pictorial, and abstract means and helps students slow down as they work through word problems. In this journal, students will solve part-whole addition, part-whole subtraction, and part-whole missing addend problems, and several problems using teen numbers.
Each page is coded to designate the type of story problem, and includes an area for quick draw, 10-frame, number bond, and computation, as well as a sentence form. The download also includes instructions for use, a math work mat, and a student cover for the word problems journal.
This journal helps students turn the corner in their early childhood experience to prepare them for what word problems will start to look like as they get older.
